HIP HOPS BREWERS

Director Shaun joined forces with Adam (co-founder) and Jarrett Bravo (senior brewer) in 2020 to start up what is now Hip Hops Brewers today. Jarrett Bravo is formerly from the team at Newstead Brewing and was recently the head brewer of Happy Valley.

The brewery keeps going from strength to strength and continues to uphold it’s set of values: craft, community and karma. Craft represents not only the beer but also the artwork (which he created). The brewery is mindful of building relationships within the community to provide support to people and local businesses. The aim is to create a space for locals to relax, produce, and meet with other like-minded people.

Hip Hops Brewers is inside a massive industrial shed at The Sheds at Brendale. The venue is family and dog-friendly and features plenty of seating options for patrons. These include a fairy lit cosy corner and large and small tables in the brewery. Outside the shed is a cool graffiti mural by local artist Pat Indo. Also, an undercover area with picnic tables overlooking the pretty landscaped gardens.

Hip Hops Brewers has an impressive 21 taps of freshly brewed beers and seltzers. These include XPA-Lidocious, Samford Sessions Pale Ale, White Brick Lakeside Lager, Craic & Crainn Dry Irish Stout, Devil Inside Dark Ale (chilli coffee stout), and more. Non-beer drinkers can enjoy three seltzers – Boozy Lemonade, Ginger Zing, and Hard Sarsaparilla. Plus, wine, spirits, and locally sourced sodas.

The brewery also has an on-site kitchen offering mouth-watering dishes such as burgers, crispy chicken wings, and squid.

Hip Hops Brewers recently welcomed Mayor Fujita from Sanyo Oneida, Moreton Bay's sister city in Japan. In honour of the Mayor's visit, a Seaweed Yuzu Rice Lager was brewed. This beer was a collaboration with the USC using seaweed from Moreton Bay and yuzu grown in the Mary Valley. Owner Shaun Reeves presented both Mayors with a framed lino print of the can artwork.

We would like to say our heartfelt congratulations to Hip Hops Brewers on being a winner at the Moreton Bay Business and Innovation Awards.
